What Liberi Lectio is
The gold standard for early literacy in Spanish.
A tablet app that teaches your child to read in Spanish.
A rigorous, structured method
We've digitized decades of literacy research and best practices, built on plenty of instruction, practice and repetition.
A canonical sequence
2,500 activities, each 20 to 60 seconds long, that take your child from not reading to understanding texts.
Designed for consistency
Built so your child can self-regulate and progress in daily sessions of 15 to 30 minutes, completing the sequence in 4 to 5 months.
A timely solution
Your child doesn't need to wait until school to learn to read. Learning earlier, at home, at their own pace and without distractions is far more effective.

What Liberi Lectio is NOT

It is NOT edutainment
It isn't entertainment dressed up as education. It's a rigorous, structured method that achieves deep learning.
It is NOT a digital babysitter
We don't want your child passively consuming content, but actively solving activities.
It is NOT screen addiction
We don't exploit attention spans or try to maximize screen time. Our design promotes healthy self-regulation through focused daily sessions of 15 to 30 minutes.
It is NOT an endless product
It's a methodology focused on clear goals, designed to be used over a period of 3 to 5 months, not an open-ended, never-ending subscription.
A team effort with parents
We know that without involved parents, there is no learning.
A strategic alliance
We work closely together with parents.
Training and community
Through our social media community and support channels, we train parents in good practices and literacy exercises to do at home, complementing what their children learn in the app.
Constant support
We send regular progress reports and provide ongoing support through WhatsApp.

Beauty and classic characters
Inspired by classic literature to foster curiosity and a love of good reading.
Achilles, Rapunzel, Don Quixote, Scheherazade, the tortoise and the hare are just some of the characters who accompany your child throughout the whole sequence of activities.
Without the loud, empty, dopamine-driven aesthetics of most children's apps.
Your child can learn to read at home, before school and at their own pace

Frequently asked questions

What does Liberi Lectio mean?
It means “Children who read” in Latin. In ancient Rome, the children of free citizens were called the liberi, the free children. We chose this name because it represents what we want to help you achieve: that your child reads. And that reading helps them be freer.
What ages is Liberi Lectio designed for?
It's designed for children aged 4 to 8, taking them from zero to understanding basic texts.
How long should my child use the app each day?
It's built so your child can manage their own time and progress in sessions of 15 to 30 minutes.
How long will it take my child to complete the whole sequence of activities?
Since it's a methodology with a clear goal and not an endless subscription, it's designed so your child completes the sequence of activities over a period of 3 to 5 months.
How do we parents know how our children are progressing?
At Liberi Lectio we understand that without involved parents there is no learning. We provide direct support and regular reports through WhatsApp, and we guide parents with content and best practices in our social media communities so they can complement at home what their children learn in the app.
Is it good to expose my child to screens?
At Liberi Lectio we believe that technology, used well and with the right supervision, is a very powerful ally for learning and teaching. In Liberi Lectio there are no ads, no distractions and no algorithms built on dopamine addiction.
Instead, we use technology to provide a structured method in which your child is actively solving activities rather than passively consuming content.
